As a small business owner and advocate for the past 25 years, nothing has captivated me more than the current government action to further regulate and control our nation's energy resources and our citizen’s consumption of these resources.
The Waxman-Markey bill passed by the U. S. House of Representatives this past summer was my wake-up call. The legislation authorizes regulations devastating to small businesses and homeowners across America and will have profound and unintended consequences for all of us.
The Tennessee Energy Forum is part of a national grassroots initiative to educate and bring our collective voices to our elected leaders. There is no other topic which affects America at such fundamental levels. It is vital we not continue to place more control in the hands of government, but rather in the hands and voices of the people. I'm proud to lend my hand in getting the word out and engaging as many people as possible in Tennessee!
